Everything’s coming together

It really feels like things are starting to sort themselves out. At the end of last week I was visited by Red Alert who work on behalf of Argenti who are responsible for providing me with any assistive technology that will make my daily life a little bit easier and safer. First we agreed on having a ‘Jelly button’ and also an Oysta phone, both of which will act as an emergency call out, the Jelly button is for use in the house and the Oysta phone has just one emergency button which allows for a call station to locate me and send out help. Although I am not anywhere near receiving the 32 hours that Bucks provided it is a start. Please meet Gaby my lovely PA. Gaby works for Pathways of Hope who also provide my Dom care so I ...

Wow, today is the 15 th of January and we have been living in Hayling Island for just under one month and things are certainly starting to take shape.  Alterations inside our flat are still being tweaked but I’m really pleased to say that the decking and ramp are now completed and looking really smart.  Which enables me on a day like today to sit outside and soak up the sunshine.  It might be just 2c but with the sun being so low, actually it’s quite warm.   We also have two wild bird feeders in place and I’m pleased to say that it only took 2 days before the birds starting visiting them. I’m really pleased that the bird feeders SMD and her boyfriend bought us for Christmas are regularly used by our sparrow family, although the odd pigeon has also been known to park it’s bum in the seed holder!     My nephew Chris comes and spends regular time with me so that hubby can get on with jobs around the flat.   Chris has been a god...

Where do I start? So much has happened, of course the thing that is on everybody’s mind today is the lockdown that was announced by Boris (not my favourite person) yesterday!  For me I am so glad and it is not before time but how do you all feel about it? Its all started again with my mate MS having to deal with all the emotional crap that goes along with lockdown and the one thing I do know if the minority of people start adhering  to the rules we wouldn’t be in the state we find ourselves in now! I talked about in a previous post how immensely proud I am of our daughter and having to listen to the horror stories not only the news talks about but have it confirmed by SMD that this is in fact the reality.  When individuals use the underground and take off their masks when they are out of sight of the British Transport Police it would be great if they could be marched straight into the nearest ITU and do a shift where they are only required to role the in...
