Thank you Motability
It’s
a good job that I don’t get too stressy with hubby when he unfortunately reversed
my Motability van into another car which thankfully was his own car. We don’t
have a nice big driveway to manoeuvre out of and there seems to always be cars
parked close by. The other day we started the manoeuvre which is about a six
point turn, sadly on about the fifth turn he went back a little too far and
made contact with his works car. I know if it was our own vehicle he would have
sorted out the damage but as it is a Motability vehicle we can’t. Infact the damage was very slight.
We reported the damage to the Insurer and they decided it could be repaired at home due to the type of damage. The main concern was Motability not wanting to leave me without the use of my van. Two days later the repairers contacted us and booked in a date to repair which was only 10 days away.
This morning bang on 9am the repair guy turned up. All he asked was that the van was turned around and reversed in so that a gazebo could be put over the end of the van should it rain. Thankfully he remained dry all the time the repair work was carried out. I’m really not sure what he had to do so the next part is detailed by photos and I’m sure the experts among you will know exactly what he was doing, hubby seemed to know.
Thank
you Motability it was nice and easy the only painful bit came when we needed to
give our bank account details to pay the £100 excess.
Now
September is coming to an end I am holding my breath for the next big impact, that won’t be the result of a car accident but the gas and electric direct debit bills being taken from our bank account.
