My
brain fog is exceptionally bad this week, I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised as
my mate MS does not make friends with any infection that passes by. My little
incident with the nurse and the catheter the other week, has resulted in an infection
around the SPC site. Yesterday I started on a course of antibiotics and Fusidic
acid cream. Enter hubby “have you taken your antibiotics this morning?” I don’t
believe it, even when I write about taking antibiotics it doesn’t prompt me to remember
that I should’ve taken one. So if you didn’t believe that brain fog was real, I
can assure you it is.

I
am so glad that my previous care company convinced me to write a blog, because I
can assure you there is no way I could remember all the adventures I go on.Last
week, hubby and me and my mate MS explored some more of this beautiful island
that we live on, this post will try and capture some of the history we discovered
while on the walk.
We
started our walk at the Inn on the Beach (although of course because of lockdown,
we couldn’t go for a meal and a drink), we walked along a footpath which ran
along the back of the golf course, it was not the most wheelchair friendly but
we made it out on to the road.

We now knew where we were heading, as we came across
a information board.

For
some reason I was shocked that there was a lake on Hayling, as I assumed it was
all about the sea. It did seem a little strange though as it is fenced off and is
solely used by Portsmouth & district Angling Society.

The
final stop was Sinah common and anti-aircraft gun site, this has some real
history. The common has several mounds or as my carers have always referred to
it as Teletubby hills. I definitely rely on my job smartphone and taking pictures in
order that I log the history and can later add it to my post. There is no way
that little miss brain fog is going to get the better of me.

All
in all I thouorulghy enjoyed our walk and look forward to exploring more of
Hayling.
