Eight more sleeps to go!

Wow it’s so exciting we really don’t have long to get everything packed up and sorted out.

My week has been in the majority productive, starting on Monday with a physiotherapy session at the Chilterns MS Centre.https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1aTF_8buoD-q3zgiJEXoI6XvBkTx7YKAx
On Wednesday I had a telephone consultation with the wonderful Dr.Viq Chamoun.https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1z3lD1qFAUsKLFWLI7vTQUPs8mbjO-1v0He has always been about the well-being of his patients but at the same time keeps up to date with medical trials. I explained to him I was suffering with a bout of Trigeminal Neuralgia and had been prescribed Carbamazepine that immediately raised a concern for him as he knew exactly the other medication I was on and felt that I must be feeling like a complete zombie (he was not wrong). He than told me it could be treated in a number of ways that didn’t involve medication. That is when I had to admit I was moving out of the County. Thankfully he dictated a letter on the spot recommending my new GP made an appointment with the Neurologist where I will be living and then I felt he went above and beyond telling me he wouldn’t discharge me from his care until it had been confirmed that I had seen the new Neurologist and I could ring him at any time. It is of great comfort to know that he will be on the end of the phone.

Feeling in a positive place I carried on with my list of things to do when Facebook told me I had been tagged in a picture, I opened it straight away and there was our Christmas tree! It’s a bit of a surreal moment when your big sister has arranged for something to happen when I and my hubby has been talking about it 24 hours earlier. We do and like the same things so I really shouldn’t be surprised. All ready for us to decorate.

The next job was to start the packing, my hubby will do all the big stuff next week when he is not working but luckily I have my PAs so we could get cracking. I had already started buying a few bits and bobs for Christmas so it made sense to wrap the presents up first before packing them. I am sure anyone who has MS and limited mobility will understand that we collect and store all sorts on our tables so that was the next job sorting out my two tables and packing the contents. It was also a sad day as I said goodbye to one of my PAs who would not be coming in again before I moved.https://drive.google.com/uc?export=view&id=1obLLBNs_AnQsi44BD-nn3TG7m0M8BUT7

Time to relax I do love my oil painting by numbers on the iPad it’s a great way of detaching yourself from the world, although it is my dear hubby who acts as my fingers on this occasion.

Now I have just eight more sleeps to go until we move and my last job of this week was to phone the Social Services in the County we are moving to and get an update on my new care package etc. Alas was there somebody who could tell me what was going on? Oh no there wasn’t, I am sure (well I hope) I will get a phone call next week with details of my new care package I do hope so as my nerves will not cope with me laying in bed wondering if somebody is coming to get me up!

Until my next post …..
